[ There's a snap, which is the sound of the journal turning on, and a brief torrent of words in a language that sounds like, but isn't quite, Romanian. It switches fairly quickly to English, and the woman on the other end of the network seems faintly harried. ]
- can't imagine why we couldn't all just talk to each other in person - oh. It's on.
[ After a moment and a little bit of scuffling, she figures out how to turn the video feed on, and suddenly there's visual of a woman who does not appear nearly as discombobulated as her tirade might have implied. ]
Hello, Barge. I have to say, this is a slight improvement over my previous lodgings. The sky's a nice touch. Very elegant, very metaphorical. But I'd like to start right in, if that's possible. I'm sure there's plenty to do on a ship this size.
Really, though, looking forward to getting to know all of you. . . . Call me Sally.
